Guiding Teens to Confidence—On the Road and in Life

My Journey

After 30 years running the administrative side of a major sporting goods rep agency, I took a leap into entrepreneurship when my boss retired. With a marathoner’s mindset (literally—I ran both the Boston and NYC Marathons!), I explored what was next.

That’s when I discovered The Empowerment Institute and The Life Coach School—and I knew teens were the group I wanted to serve. Their energy is electric, their growth is powerful, and their fears are very real. I got double-certified and opened a coaching business… but no teens came.

A friend—also a Certified Driving Instructor—pointed out something brilliant: teens need help with driving, too. Lightbulb moment.

So I became a Driving Instructor, worked for five years gaining experience, and then launched CS Driving School (Common Sense Driving School). It’s been thriving for over 13 years—and I’ve now blended my two passions by offering coaching specifically for teens who are preparing to drive, as well as offering coaching for parents of teens.

To this day, I teach Religious Education to young adults at my Catholic church (16 years and counting!).

What Parents & Students are Saying

Anna is a passionate life coach and a dedicated driving instructor. She always brings her boundless energy and warmth to every lesson. Anna turns even the most nervous students into confident drivers and self-assured individuals with her ever-encouraging attitude. She treats each lesson as more than a driving class and uses the time as a chance to connect and motivate her students. Whether she’s celebrating a perfect parallel parking job or helping a student overcome anxiety, Anna genuinely cares about all of her students. She is also always offering her students words of wisdom.

Anna helped me through a rough time when I was feeling overwhelmed about driving and honestly just a little stuck in general. I was second-guessing myself constantly. She didn’t just brush it off or tell me to “focus”; instead she really listened. She reminded me that fear is just “false evidence appearing real” and gave me a bracelet that says “WWASD” (What Would Anna Sab Do?), which I still have. That small gift meant everything because it showed how much she believes in her students. She always knows how to shift your mindset and remind you of your own strength. That day, she helped me believe in myself again, and that stuck.
